About the Artist
Biography
Sandra Vick is an artist whose paintings are rooted in memories of the Scottish landscape. She is drawn to hills on the horizon and to the geological and human shaping of the land. Working from sketches made outdoors, she explores these ideas through layers of oil paint, mark making and texture, creating paintings that evoke not only a particular landscape, but the feeling of being outside and there in the landscape.
